- SENTINEL 250™ Hydrant
The SENTINEL 250™ Ductile Iron Fire Hydrant, a boltless constructed dry barrel traffic model hydrant, is rated at 250 psi working pressure, conforms to AWWA C-502 and is UL/FM listed and approved. The Sentinel 250 hydrant upper barrel and bonnet are made from ductile iron. Ductile iron means twice the tensile strength of cast iron, a property which is very important in a traffic collision.
Boltless construction at the bonnet and shoe means no bolts to corrode or seize when it comes time for maintenance. With the self-lubricating grease chamber, there is no need to check or add oil. Maintenance on the hydrant is also very simple, with the average person being able to remove the main valve in less than four minutes.
